GDPR and personal information safety

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of rules that enhance EU citizens' data protection and privacy. It strengthens and unifies similar legislation across the European Union and took effect on the 25th of May 2018. GDPR defines personal data as "any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person". This can be anything from a name, a home address, a photo, an email address, bank details, or a computer's IP address.

How does this affect me?

In line with our revised Privacy Policy, if we need to use or process your personal information, we’ll ask for your consent in writing, outlining the specific purpose. As well as this, we protect our customers' personal information against data theft or misuse by using the best technical and organizational measures to safeguard against such threats.

We won't keep your data longer than is necessary for the initial purpose we requested them for. The only exception to this is if the information is needed by any overriding legal obligations and is in line with our license conditions. In either scenario, no action is needed from you.

If you decide to stop using our services, we'll remove your personal data from our database after a certain amount of time. The length of time for removing your personally identifiable information depends on the country and license of your account registration. It will no longer be accessible to us.
